Simulation PvP = WWE = Match-Fixing = No Spending

Hello,

This is to publicly inform players worldwide that the current Simulation PvP content in the game is nothing but a trash feature where rankings are maintained solely through widespread match-fixing, with the silent approval and neglect of the game company. I am sharing this in multiple languages to prevent any unfortunate victims from unknowingly spending money on it.

As many of you know, the game Perfect Inning recently launched its Simulation mode. Due to the nature of this mode, the stats of your roster card deck are more crucial to winning than in any other content. Therefore, any player aiming for the championship will inevitably invest a significant amount of money.

However, as it stands now, the Simulation mode’s top-tier competition is entirely dominated by match-fixing, effectively tolerated and neglected by the developer, Gong Games, and the publisher, Com2us Holdings Corporation. To be precise, it’s not even “competition” anymore — the rankings are already pre-scripted, just like the WWE.

Currently, in this game’s Simulation mode, SINOBIx-Yonjhon from the SINOBIx club and Fo-Fito from the ANTI-DEMA club exploit system loopholes to illegitimately gain points near the end of each season, taking turns to win.

The exact method of match-fixing is as follows:

1. Prepare two card decks to be used for match-fixing (usually two players from the same club or two players who are personally acquainted conspire together).

2. Right before starting the match-fixing, the deck that initiates the match request is set to maximum strength.

3. The deck receiving the match intentionally lowers its strength enough to lose to the opponent (using an A–B roster changing in this process).

4. In Simulation mode, since you can choose one opponent out of three, the player with the strong setup selects the deck that has been prepared to lose as described above.

5. After easily winning, they switch roles — the winning deck lowers its strength enough to lose, while the losing deck sets its strength to maximum for its turn to win.

6. Taking advantage of the rule that the same deck cannot be selected consecutively, they insert a naturally weak, lower-ranked deck in between matches to reliably secure +100 points.

7. The two decks repeat this process — the requester boosts its strength, the receiver lowers it — while always inserting a weak deck in between to farm +100 points per round. Through this, both decks keep winning indefinitely.

8. This method is executed in the final phase of the season to block other players from catching up and to secure the championship.

Through this method of match-fixing, for several months now, SINOBIx-Yonjhon from the SINOBIx club and Fo-Fito from the ANTI-DEMA club have been illegitimately monopolizing the 1st and 2nd positions in Simulation mode. Therefore, the current Simulation mode in this game is neither a true baseball sport nor an actual game — it is nothing more than a scripted match-fixing arena, just like the WWE.

Moreover, the problem does not stop there. Because the developer and publisher have neglected this systemic flaw for such a long time, many players are now aware of it and are engaging in widespread match-fixing to exploit the content.

The technical cause of this Simulation mode match-fixing lies within the game’s own system, and its mechanism can be summarized as follows:

1. Real-time score updates + 2. Real-time deck power reflection + 3. Ability to choose your opponent team = An inevitable environment for match-fixing.

Therefore, to fundamentally solve the problem, at least one of these three elements must be removed or changed.

If, due to human, technical, or time constraints, it is difficult for the developer to overhaul the entire system immediately, then — similar to the delayed registration display currently applied in the transfer market — the game could implement a delay mechanism for Simulation rosters. For example, when swapping between A and B rosters or changing a roster, the changes could apply immediately to the deck used for your own Simulation requests, but be reflected with a random delay of 5–15 minutes (or longer) for the roster seen by opponents when they select their matchup.

The developer, Gong Games, and the publisher, Com2us Holdings Corporation, have been receiving detailed reports and repeated requests for countermeasures regarding this match-fixing issue — including its causes and potential solutions — for several months, yet they have taken no action.

Despite having had more than enough time to implement the technical measures mentioned above, they have instead chosen to maintain the situation as if it were part of their original design. Even though clear evidence of match-fixing exists, they have taken no action such as suspending the accounts of the two players involved, which effectively shows that both companies regard such match-fixing as an acceptable part of normal gameplay.

But in any sport, whether traditional or e-sports, isn’t permanent expulsion the standard punishment for match-fixing?

It is evident that these companies believe — in blatant disregard of ethical standards — that leaving the situation as it is will actually benefit their profits.

Among Korean mobile game companies, there are, as you can see with Gong Games and Com2us Holdings Corporation, those that operate unethically, doing the bare minimum work while raking in profits, regardless of whether their content is riddled with match-fixing.

As a fellow Korean, I feel deeply ashamed about this, but I want to make it clear that not all Koreans or Korean companies are as unethical as the developer Gong Games and publisher Com2us Holdings Corporation of this game.

In such a situation, I urge heavy-spending players around the world who might be tempted to win in this game’s Simulation mode not to waste their money until this issue is resolved.

In this situation, I strongly advise heavy-spending players around the world who may be aiming to win in this game’s Simulation mode not to waste any money until this problem is resolved.

At present, it is impossible for any challenger to build a card deck strong enough to achieve an undefeated season without match-fixing — overcoming countless luck-based factors — and surpass those players at the very top. Therefore, paying money in hopes of competing or winning in Simulation mode under these conditions is nothing more than throwing your money away, and will only result in handing over dirty money to the developer, Gong Games, and the publisher, Com2us Holdings Corporation.

Of course, in this environment, one possible way to win the Simulation championship would be to recruit another player willing to participate in match-fixing — just as SINOBIx-Yonjhon of the SINOBIx club and Fo-Fito of the ANTI-DEMA club have done — and compete using the exact same match-fixing method.

However, in Korea, this constitutes a criminal offense.

Moreover, there is always the risk that Gong Games and Com2us Holdings Corporation could change their stance at any time and permanently ban your account, making it far from a safe choice.

Therefore, the current Simulation mode in Perfect Inning is nothing more than a scripted WWE-style setup where spending money holds absolutely no meaning. I urge overseas players not to waste a single cent on competition or chasing victories in this mode until these problems are fixed.

As a Korean, I am ashamed that such unethical and incompetent developer and publisher are also Korean, and I offer my apologies on their behalf.
